In October 2017, our friends at Rightmove carried out a survey to determine the happiest places to live in the UK.
More than 17,000 people were asked how happy they are with aspects of where they live taking into considering community spirit, feeling safe, the friendliness of locals, the amenities and local services available and earning enough to live comfortably were all taken into account.

1. Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire
Voted the happiest place to live in the UK, this Warickshire town has it all, from Regency buildings to independent shops and restaurants, residents benefit from direct access into London by train in an hour and 15 minutes.
2. Leigh-on-Sea, Essex
Located on the east coast of England, this seaside town is famous for its annual festivals such as the Leigh Regatta, The Leigh Folk Festival and The Leigh Art Trail.
